I guess the most significant part of 2011 was learning the ability to function and move forward when things aren’t going your way. I learned how to be truly happy. I took the time to sit and evaluate what little things really make me happy on even my worst days. Once I figured that out and incorporated those things into my every day life more, I became a genuinely happy person, even through the worst circumstances.
I want to recommend everyone do the same in 2012. Really sit back and ask yourself what every day things you can involve more in your life that truly make you happy. Whether its taking 30 minute walks in the morning, blasting your favorite song while you get ready for work, stopping at your favorite cafe a couple times a week, reading a book every night before you go to sleep, treating yourself to more to massages and pedicures, or simply just setting more time aside to just sit on your couch and relax.. figure it out. And do it more.
